Project 1494 Bellevue Hill

This project involved a major first floor addition and ground floor alteration. The client wanted to have all the bedrooms on the newly added first floor, thus freeing up space on the ground floor to create a more open plan kitchen, dining and living area whilst still capturing the intimacy of a formal dining and lounge area.

The existing home was laid out as typical for its era; it started as one level with an out-dated kitchen and bathroom.

Project 1611 Glebe

This project is an architecturally designed major renovation and extension to an existing terrace house in Sydney’s Inner West. The client wanted to completely transform the building creating an ultra contemporary look and feel to their new home.

This home now boasts four levels after the addition of an attic, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an internal laundry, and a large open plan living space that leads on to tiled terraces and patios.

Complimenting the design, we also installed commercial grade windows, recessed skirtings, shadow lines to all ceilings and full height internal doors. Other enhancements included natural Red Forest timber floors leading onto an open steel and timber mono string staircase with stainless steel balustrading.

As the existing home was run down and poorly laid out, a major renovation was the only answer.

This project was very demanding on space due to its location and access, however we still completed the project within the time frame and it remains one of our favourite projects.

Project 2328 Willoughby

This project is an architecturally designed renovation and extension to an existing single storey house in Sydney’s Willoughby. The client wanted to modernise their home by creating an open plan living area allowing more ventilation and sun throughout.

This house now boasts four bedrooms, a study, ensuite to the main bedroom and the much sort after open living, dining lounge area that now flows onto the north-facing yard. Large rear doors were added to create the outdoor/indoor feel that the client desired.

Complimenting this open plan design, we installed modern appliances and fittings that were both stylish and energy efficient. These, combined with the new layout, design and insulation, significantly reduced the carbon footprint of this home.

Prior to these major renovations, this home consisted of three bedrooms and was a typical style for this area of Sydney. There had been previous extensions to the home and it was in need of a drastic update.

Project 1506 Turramurra

This project is an architecturally designed major first floor addition and ground floor renovation. The client wanted to create a more spacious, lighter and warmer feeling throughout their new home.

The house started out as a single storey solid brick construction with dated red bricks. The façade was generally run down and in need of an overall lift.

After the renovation was complete, the existing home is difficult to detect.

Project 1428 South Penrith

This project is a major first floor addition and ground floor renovation, featuring high quality fixtures and fittings.

This home now boasts five bedrooms, main with en-suite, two bathrooms, office, guest room, sitting room and a large open plan living area that flows into the open plan kitchen and bar area.

During this massive renovation the entire roof was removed to accommodate the new additions. This was challenging as the owners continued to live in the home throughout the project.

This renovation has completely transformed how the owners live. The parents have the peace and quiet of downstairs while the kids run free in the first floor area.

The home overlooks the manicured landscaped gardens, which can be seen from all living areas increasing the ambience of the home.

Project 1575 Bellevue Hill

This project is a major alteration and renovation over three levels.

Working closely with the clients’ designer and architect, we transformed the home into over three levels; a first floor, ground floor and basement. It now consists of three bathrooms, two kitchens, two living areas, four bedrooms, study/ home office, library, meditation room, sauna, steam room and ice bath — all housed under the new Eternity slate roof.

In addition, there is an amazing sense of style and design throughout the home as it blends imported limestone, marble and European oak timbers.

The existing home’s previous additions were poorly constructed. The basement was unusable, fittings were coming away from the walls and the entire home was deteriorating rapidly. A major renovation was the only answer.

Project 1455 Glenbrook

This project is a uniquely designed two storey split level custom built home. The client wanted to build a home that complimented their lifestyle while blending into the surrounding area.

The home is a brick veneer construction with terracotta roof tiles and natural timber windows. It consists of five bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, modern en-suite, study, double garage and a wrap- around Merbau timber veranda.

The home is built on a difficult block at the foot of the Blue Mountains.  The layout of the land made the project a little more difficult than anticipated. However, we were able to create more space under the house for storage with just a few minor changes to the structural layout of the floor supports. This achieved ample storage for years to come for a growing family.

Project 1303 East Kurrajong

Project 1546 Bronte

This project is a first floor addition and ground floor remodel to a semi-detached dwelling. The client wanted to de-clutter and create a more open plan living area and move the main rooms upstairs.

The new works converted the home to have two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and opened up the ground floor into a more open plan living arrangement with a new kitchen and concealed laundry.

Natural timber floors were used throughout to achieve the look and feel that the client desired. The work had to be coordinated and planned with the neighbouring properties, which was achieved through stringent planning and management. This home now has a new lease on life along with its excited and happy owners (and neighbours).

The original home consisted of a standard three bedroom semi for this area.

Project 1473 Mosman

This project is an architecturally designed ground floor extension and renovation. The client wanted to reduce the number of levels in their home, four in total and create a more open and airy feel.

The new split-level design accommodated large open plan living areas and high cathedral ceilings, along with extensive widows and glassed areas to let in plenty of natural light. The kitchen and bathrooms were remodelled with a new contemporary feel.

All rooms were revitalised with a fresh new feel; a water feature was added to the side path to enhance the visual outlook from the home.

The existing home was typical for the area. It had received four add-ons over the past 50 years, resulting in the many levels with a layout like a rabbit warren. A major renovation was the only answer.

The client and architect have expressed their appreciation for all the efforts and that we exceeded their expectations.
